2014 Summary

Lots of wonderful things happened this year and we have much to be thankful for!    We are so blessed to watch our business grow.  It makes up proud to see how well all the students are doing, and we are grateful for the friendships that develop with our clients.

We are now certified Therapy Dog Trainers and Testers for Therapy Pets Unlimited (TherapyPetsUnlimited.org).  This is a great organization and we LOVE contributing to this wonderful purpose.  We are so proud of all of our clients and their pups who have followed through with volunteering!

Tara really geared up and got the show circuit running! Flynn and Kit are well on their way to get their titles.  She also got a team started on Barn Hunt, another fun competition activity, and she has started grooming.

We introduced Rally-O to lots of folks in Fayette and surrounding counties.  All of our specialized seasonal training classes (beginning Agility, Rally, etc.) are based in team building exercises to strengthen the relationship between you and your dog.  We love Rally and love the fact that so many clients decided to compete as the Dog Shows came to town!

We joined forces this year with Healing4Heroes, a local organization that matches veterans suffering from PTSD (post traumatic stress syndrome) and TBI (traumatic brain injury) with a service dog.  We make a great team combining our training work and our rescue, Coco's Cupboard.  By qualifying our rescue dogs, starting their training and then matching them with a veteran, it is a WIN WIN for everyone.  As always, thanks to Puppy Tubs for helping us with the boarding of the fosters and to their wonderful staff for help in the training.  We love being the service dog trainers for this organization. It is so fulfilling to see the difference a dog can make in the veteran's lives.  Our very own Jack and  Flynn are participating in the training as they grow into their spots as our working demo dogs.  If you have any questions about Healing4Heroes, please check them out at healing4heroes.org.  There are MANY volunteer opportunities :)

Jack and Flynn started some new tracking training and we are super excited about starting a local class in 2015.  What a great job for all our working pups!

We both built our home kennels this year which have helped make the home boarding go smoothly. Special thanks to our ever so tolerant husbands for helping us make that happen! Suzanne is looking forward to increasing her "bootcamp" dogs now and getting some troublesome pups back in line.

We couldn't do what we do with out our volunteers.  Special thanks to Yvonne Edwards with Oreo, Lorena Allen with Yankee and Taco, and Mary Ann Rybarczyk with Lacey for coming to all the classes to help out. We also thank the Puppy Tubs crew, with special shout outs to Ciara Stoker, Lauren Kimbell and Courtney Ladonne for working with the foster dogs and helping out with classes.   Last but not least, special thanks to our Coco's Cupboard ladies, Tammy Bentley, Jayne Midura and Kathy Addis!

We are super excited to see what 2015 will bring! Tracking classes, reactive dog classes and muzzle therapy, barn hunt, and who knows what else!  Make sure you are following us Facebook!
